Rachael here, mama to a new little boy Zachary, born June 2nd 2020. I’m 26, first time mum, trained in child care and thought the journey would be alot easier because I “knew” what to expect… My my my how wrong I was. My story of conceiving, pregnancy and birth was nothing like my mum’s and my sister’s was, expecting the tradition to continue on to me of how simple their journey to and during motherhood was but, my story was completely different to theirs. Making the statement ‘not one person is the same’ very true.

I’m going to document the journey of motherhood, the joy, the struggles, the good, bad and the ugly. I’ve always been a strong believer in not sugar coating anything. So here you’ll find the truth of how motherhood really feels for some women who don’t get the glow, who do not have a smooth pregnancy, and the struggles some women can face.

You might even come across story times of the making, growing, and the birth of my little boy because why not know the truth, or what the truth for some can be.
